Join Tom Davis for a dog training seminar in Calgary!
Tom is teaching a weekend seminar for dog owners and dog professionals! We have working spots and audit spots available. Working spots bring their dog to work with Tom hands-on throughout the weekend. We will cover obedience, relationship-building, behavior, and more! Working spots include bringing one additional person. Audit spots come to observe, ask questions, and do not bring their dog.
This event will be open to dogs of all training levels. The working dogs will be on a 15-25 minute rotation, better known as a crate and rotating schedule. If your dog is good in the car, this would be the best place for them in-between training sessions. If your dog is well-behaved and QUIET, you can bring a crate and crate them in the event space. We ask that if dogs are going to be in the venue, they must not be a large distraction. If your dog is not crate trained, it can stay in your vehicle until it’s their turn to train! Each working spot will be on a rotation schedule, so PLEASE make sure your dog will be okay in their crate and/or in your vehicle. Each day will have appropriate breaks throughout the day, including a 1-hour and 15-minute lunch break.
Please bring your own lunch/snacks and a chair! YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR!

Hello, approximately how many times does a dog work with you throughout the weekend for a working spot?
Hello! Each dog gets out to work 3-4 times per day. Throughout the weekend, we combine sessions as well to work on distractions and in a group environment. You get to learn from the other working spots as well! Hope this helps!
Will there be a “meet and greet” and will you be selling merchandise?
We will not have merch available. We are still figuring out a possible meet & greet so we will release more information about that if we are able to set it up!
Is the content different for the 2 days?

Hi! No, it is not. It is not a presentation. It’s working with dogs in real time. Saturday will be the beginning of working with each dog and Sunday continues to progress with each of them.
Hello, is there an age restriction for the audit spots?
Hi! We don’t have an age limit, but we wouldn’t want very young children running around 🙂

There are several hotels in downtown Calgary, as well as Airbnb/VRBO options. The venue is approximately 30 minutes from downtown.
I see that it says we have to bring our own chairs. I’ll be flying there and will not be able to bring a chair. Will there be extra chairs?
